K5

The 2009-2010 year has been a great year for the K5 students in room 106.  Maestra Benedetto and Maestro Falsetti have had a great time working with our students to create a fun, safe and engaging environment.  Our students have been soaking up the Italian language, preparing to read on their own, exploring addition & subtraction, tooling around with technology and expanding their social skills.

This spring our plan is to learn about serving our community and helping others.  The biggest project we have planned is the creation of the Victory Vegetable Garden on the site of Victory’s currently underutilized perennial garden.  We have procured a number of materials, tools, seeds, dirt and even a wheelbarrow from generous contributors who donated through the Donorschoose.com website.  Our hope is to get our students outside more often, learn about nature and pick up some healthy eating habits.  Continue checking the website for more updates and information about the garden and our class.
